Everyone played excellently at this weekend’s CPE trial at All Dogs Gym, and I’m proud of the whole crew. We had a few bouts of refusal weirdness causing NQs, but the dogs recovered well and finished strong even on the runs they didn’t qualify on. Peach had her best focus yet, with zero zoomies (which, if you know Peach, is a real milestone). I opted to skip a couple of runs on Sunday because Truffle and Russet were running on fumes and not having as much fun anymore. Overall, a great showing and a really good time playing with my little squad of silly dogs.
Big thanks to Cindy Telley for capturing Peach’s very first agility photos.

A quick glossary for anyone new to agility: a Q is a qualifying run (the dog ran the course cleanly enough to earn credit toward a title). An NQ means the run didn’t qualify, usually due to a fault or refusal. Scratching is opting not to run, often because the dog needs a break. The numbers and letters indicate level and class (T = Truffle’s height division, S = Russet’s, and so on).
